INTRODUCING THE
THE STRENGTHS
ACCELERATOR ACADEMY
Want to use CliftonStrengths with your team but aren't sure where to start?
Maybe you started, but lost momentum?
Most teams never move beyond awareness. This course bridges the gap - turning Strengths insights into authentic leadership, high-performing teams, and measurable outcomes. We designed this academy to give you the support and guidance you need whether you're just starting the process or getting back on track, so you can create a Strengths-based culture with your team or organization.
You may already know this, but Gallup has found that when folks work in their Strengths Zone, they...
Are 3x's more likely to report having an excellent quality of life.
Are 6x's more likely to be engaged in their work.
Have more positive interactions with the folks around them.
Are more productive.
Have more positive, creative, and innovative moments.
Additionally, CliftonStrengths gives you and your team a shared language you can use to communicate. That means better understanding why people approach things the way they do.
And that's key to maximizing your productivity and wellbeing. When folks are focus on the things they do best, you'll find that everyone is more productive AND is more engaged in their work.
But even if you know and appreciate the benefits of using a Strengths-Based approach, you won't get far if you don't know how to implement a Strengths Culture.
INTRODUCING
Productivity, engagement, and wellbeing are key to achieving your goals. But constant change, overwhelming workloads, and stress can quickly erode all three.
But change is possible! And you’ve already taken the first step—realizing that you need the right training and support to integrate a Strengths-based culture.
Through the Academy you'll…
Deepen your understanding of your personal Strengths, including how all 34 CliftonStrengths Talent Themes show up in your life
Define your authentic leadership style using your unique Strengths profile
Master team dynamics, including how your strengths impact collaboration, meetings, and delegation
Create environments that encourage greater and more authentic team involvement
Leverage your Strengths to better communicate and resolve conflict
Develop action plans for yourself, your department, and your organization
Build a common Strengths language that transforms team culture
We're both Gallup Certified Strengths coaches. And we've developed Strengths-based teams and even campuses, so we get it. We know the impact a Strengths-based culture can have on engagement, retention, and overall success. But we also understand the challenges and the frustrations, including keeping the momentum going.
We took everything we’ve learned about creating a Strengths-based culture, and packaged it all into this interactive and supportive culture-transforming program.
Please Note: While you will not be a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach after completing this program, you WILL have a working understanding of the CliftonStrengths framework and tangible steps to implement a Strengths-based approach with your team, department, or even entire campus.
We've combined asynchronous learning with group and individual coaching, so you can maximize what you're learning and, even more importantly, implement what you've learned.
Our program will give you the skills and knowledge you need to effectively create a Strengths- Based culture. You get lifetime access to the modules so you can go back and review them.
Every week, your cohort will meet and discuss insights, questions, and discuss ways to integrate what you've learned. We'll also record these calls in case something comes up and you have to one!
You're bound to have individual questions and concerns, so you also get one 30-minute individual coaching call. You can use it to get personalized feedback or work through specific issues.
Your CliftonStrengths 34 Report
Knowing what your talents are and how to maximize them is crucial to becoming an effective leader, so you'll get your full CliftonStrengths 34 Report, with the ranking of all 34 Talent Themes.
I appreciated that Anne and Alicia really listened to me and were able to cut right to the issue, keeping me focused on myself and what I could do to improve and know myself better. Working with Strengths University was easy! Information was sent to connect with the weekly classes, work through course modules, and the homework kept me accountable to my class and myself. This work is perfect for anyone who works with other people - professionals, students, anyone! Understanding how you operate and how others operate, helps you operate better together. I hope there is an intermediate course!

Anne and Alicia provide the right balance and experience to provide effective leadership training using CliftonStrengths as a framework. The Top 10 Managers report is SOOO VALUABLE and provides actual usable feedback to help understand strengths and how they might help & hinder. Strengths University is by far the most life-changing training I have encountered and personally completing the program myself, I value the format, the useful "help & hinder" exercises, and their delivery of the content!

During our calls, Anne would reiterate that we shouldn't feel like we have to implement and absorb every single piece of information in the course. That is too overwhelming. She would say, "Just take the one thing that resonates with you the most and go do that thing!" It seems very simple, but that one line of advice has transformed my approach to management. I remind myself of that wisdom every single day. Anne and Alicia definitely reinforced the idea that we are all works in progress and the goal is to support ourselves, and our employees, and our teams to be our best by using our strengths.

BONUS MODULE
We want to take your understanding to the next level during the Academy. But if it's been awhile since you've covered the basics or are a beginner, we've got you covered. Your talents impact how you interact with the world. You'll have immediate access to this module when you register so you can dive right in.
WEEK ONE
Once you have a basic understanding of your Talent Themes and how they're impacting your life, it's time to go deeper. You'll break down the results of your whole CliftonStrengths 34 Report. You'll also get a better understanding of how your Talent Themes are showing up so you can better manage them, so you can be more effective, productive, and have a better sense of wellbeing.
WEEK TWO
One of the biggest obstacles for many people in implementing a Strengths-based approach is feeling overwhelmed about all the Talent Themes. In this module, you'll learn about all 34 Talent Themes, so you'll better understand other's Themes and feel more comfortable having conversations about using Strengths every day.
WEEK THREE
You'll have the opportunity to discover how your Strengths work together so you can maximize how they show up for you. You'll create a personalized statement that will help you stay focused on your Strengths Zone. You'll also learn about the Four Domains that will help you better focus your energy and set the stage to build more effective teams.
WEEK FOUR
One of the most powerful ways to use CliftonStrengths is by developing a well-rounded and high-functioning team. In this module, you'll learn how to better maximize your team's energy by delegating and creating complementary partnerships. You'll better understand how to use your collective Talent Themes to be more productive.
WEEK FIVE
No matter what your goals are, if you and your team aren’t communicating well amongst yourselves, students, or other key stakeholders, you’re not going to be successful. You’ll learn how to better communicate so you can clearly set expectations, hold people accountable, and establish trust between you and the people you lead.
WEEK SIX
Conflict seems to be everywhere these days. Even the best teams will have conflict at some point. Unfortunately, most people aren't comfortable with conflict and would rather put things off instead of addressing the issue. You’ll learn how to better navigate conflict yourself and be better able to mediate conflict between others.
WEEK SEVEN
Another challenge many folks face is exactly how to move past the basics to truly create a Strengths-based culture. You'll learn how to integrate Strengths into programming, advising, and during daily interactions so that it sticks. You'll get tangible steps on how to add a Strengths-based approach with what you're already doing.
WEEK EIGHT
The last week of the Academy is focused on action. You'll review what you've learned in the first seven weeks, then develop your path forward, with consideration to the specific needs of your team and organization. You'll be able to move forward, focusing on exactly what you need to do to get the results you want.
We founded Strengths University in 2017 to support supervisors in Higher Ed. Together we have over 35 years of experience supervising in Higher Ed. We know how powerful CliftonStrengths can be personally, in a team, and in an organization. But we know the challenges of both getting started and maintaining momentum. We're here to offer guidance and support for folks who want to create a Strengths-based culture based on our years of experience.
We use both a strengths-based and a wholistic approach in our coaching and training. We have been Gallup Certified Strengths Coaches since 2016. We use the CliftonStrengths framework to help you adopt what you're learning in a way that will work with your unique talents. We also take a wholistic approach because how you show up in the world, impacts how you and your team show up.
